Alberto Visentin is an Italian guitarist, singer and songwriter from the Treviso area of the Veneto region, whose music moves between blues, rock, funk, reggae and soul (Source: Torrita Blues Festival; Qdpnews). Shaped by travels to American musical centres including Austin and New Orleans, he has toured Europe, the Middle East and the United States in various formations (Source: Torrita Blues Festival). He released his debut album "Away" in 2020, which drew attention from Italian, American and Australian blues and soul publications and radio stations (Source: Italian Blues Union; Gavazzana Blues). In 2023 he reached the final of the Italian Blues Challenge in San Vito di Cadore, praised for his "personality and compositional vein" (Source: Il Blues Magazine). His second album, "Back Again" (2024), a self-produced set of ten original songs presented track-by-track on social media, traces a musical journey from New Orleans through Texas to California (Source: Offtopic Magazine). After placing second in a subsequent Italian Blues Challenge final, Visentin was selected by the Italian Blues Union to represent Italy at the 13th European Blues Challenge (EBC) in Split, Croatia, performing solo on vocals and acoustic guitar in the semi-finals on 3 April 2025 (Source: European Blues Union, "EBC 2025 Bands"; Italian Blues Union). He did not advance to the final, which was won by Alice Armstrong of the United Kingdom (Source: European Blues Union, "The Winners 2025"). He performs both solo and with a band featuring Marco D'Orlando on drums and Rob Daz on trumpet, and has appeared at festivals including Torrita Blues Festival, Gavazzana Blues Festival and Dolomiti Blues and Soul Festival, and opened for Albert Lee at Blues in Villa (Source: Torrita Blues Festival; Gavazzana Blues).

Musical Influence

Visentin's selection to represent Italy at the 2025 European Blues Challenge marks him as one of the country's recognised contemporary blues-rooted songwriters, following a 2023 Italian Blues Challenge final appearance (Source: Italian Blues Union; European Blues Union).
