DeWolff is a Dutch psychedelic blues-rock band formed in 2007 in Geleen, in the province of Limburg (Source: MusicBrainz; nl.wikipedia.org). The band made an early mark by winning the national final of the Kunstbende talent competition in 2008, with the jury reportedly offering no criticism at all -- a first for the contest (Source: nl.wikipedia.org). Signed to REMusic Records the same year, the band quickly began playing Amsterdam's legendary Paradiso and made its first appearance at the Pinkpop festival in 2010. An international deal with GoSet Music followed in 2011, expanding the band's touring across Europe. In 2015 the band launched its own label, Electrosaurus Records, and a year later built a fully analog recording space, the Electrosaurus Southern Sound Studio. DeWolff won the 2019 Edison Award for Best Rock Act, the Dutch record industry's most prestigious honor, and kept up momentum through the pandemic with inventive livestreamed concerts. The 2023 album "Love, Death & In Between" reached number one on the Dutch Album Top 100, and 2024's "Muscle Shoals" continued the band's run of acclaimed releases. The current line-up is Pablo van de Poel on vocals and guitar, his brother Luka van de Poel on drums and vocals, and Robin Piso on Hammond organ and vocals (Source: nl.wikipedia.org). The trio remains a heavy touring act, with 2026 dates including Huntenpop and TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht (Source: setlist.fm), and has played major festivals including Pinkpop, Lowlands, Sziget, Zappanale and North Sea Jazz, alongside international tours through Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Australia and Russia.

Musical Influence

DeWolff helped drive a revival of heavy, organ-led psychedelic blues rock in the Netherlands and beyond, building an internationally touring career and a Grammy-adjacent reputation through relentless independent work via their own Electrosaurus label and studio (Source: MusicBrainz; nl.wikipedia.org).
