Frank Get is an Italian singer, guitarist, pianist and bass player from Trieste, active on the Italian and European blues and rock scene since 1979 (Source: official site; Il Piccolo). He describes his heritage as multi-ethnic — Istrian, Slavic and Hungarian — a mix that runs through his songwriting (Source: official site). Get began his recording career fronting F.G. & the East Tornado in the 1990s, played bass and sang with Sottofalsonome (2000–2007), formed the Tex Mex blues combo in 2009 and later recorded with the Ressel Brothers ("To Milk a Duck," 2014) (Source: official site discography). His solo albums include "Hard Blues" (2009), featuring saxophonist James Thompson, guitarist Mike Sponza, drummer Moreno Buttinar and singer Anna Lauvergnac; "Rough Man" (2015), sixteen original songs plus two covers, written around stories and anecdotes from his own cosmopolitan family history; and "Gray Wolf" (2017), his 14th album, comprising twelve blues-oriented tracks (Source: official site; Spettakolo.it). In 2019 he released "False Flag," an album exploring the historical truths of his native Trieste, alongside a companion book, "Ti racconto la mia terra" (Source: Musiqua; Villaggio Musicale). Get has performed at the Sanremo Festival and Sanremo Giovani, and represented Italy at "Light of Day," Bruce Springsteen's annual Parkinson's-research benefit concert at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey (Source: official site). He has shared stages with Graziano Romani and, over more than 1,500 concerts across Europe and the US, opened for acts including Motörhead and Ten Years After (Source: Villaggio Musicale). He performs as a soloist and with a trio featuring Tea Tidić (bass, vocals) and Marco Mattietti (drums) (Source: official site).
