Harlem Lake

Harlem Lake is a Dutch band formed in 2017, known for a genre-blending mix of rock, Americana, soul and blues that has built the group a devoted following across Europe (Source: harlemlake.com; MusicBrainz). The band's breakthrough came with a win at the European Blues Challenge in 2022, a result that helped cement its standing within the wider Dutch and European blues scene. The current line-up is Ashley de Jong on lead vocals, Dave Warmerdam on keyboards, Sonny van den Berg on guitar, Kjelt Ostendorf on bass and Benjamin Torbijn on drums (Source: harlemlake.com). The band's debut album "A Fool's Paradise" (2021, released on the Groovetown label) explored themes of facades and vulnerability, while the follow-up "The Mirrored Mask" (2024) showcased an evolved sound spanning rock, Americana, soul and blues. The band also released the live album "Volition Live" (2023) and has been documented performing at the Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland in 2022. Harlem Lake is known for spontaneous, high-energy live shows built on a strong personal connection with audiences across Europe.
