Howlin' Bill are a Belgian blues and roots band built around members Winne Penninckx, Chris Van Nauw, Frank Pauwels and Jimmy Hontelé (Source: Discogs). The band released six studio and live albums between 2007 and 2014, including "Strike" (2007), the EP "Howl" (2011) and "Date With The Devil" (2012), before capturing a milestone Brussels performance on "Live At Ancienne Belgique" (2009), recorded at one of Belgium's most storied concert venues (Source: Discogs). The band's international reach is documented by a track on the "Lucerne Blues Festival 2011" various-artists compilation, released alongside acts from that Swiss festival's bill (Source: Discogs). An expanded, brass-augmented version of the band has also performed as "Howlin' Bill and his Blues Circus" (Source: Discogs).

Musical Influence

Howlin' Bill's "Live At Ancienne Belgique" documents the band's place among acts to have played one of Brussels' most important concert venues, and their Lucerne Blues Festival compilation appearance signals real international festival reach for Belgian blues (Source: Discogs).
