Contemporary Blues

Norwegian blues band of seasoned musicians playing only original material, described by Østkanten Bluesklubb as a "well-oiled blues machine."

Instruments
Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums
Østkanten Bluesklubb, an Oslo-based blues club, describes Stein Stokke & The Engine as "en velsmurt 'bluesmaskin' satt sammen av svært garvede musikere" — a well-oiled "blues machine" made up of highly seasoned musicians, performing "kun eget materiale" (only their own material), with "skjeve groove, sjelfull råskap og gode historier" — skewed grooves, soulful rawness and good stories (Source: ostkantenbluesklubb.no). The band is documented performing at Herr Nilsen in Oslo on 15 September 2023, and aboard the Christian Radich tall ship for the BluesCruise on 30 August 2024 (Source: ostkantenbluesklubb.no). Beyond this club and cruise documentation, no further verifiable facts — formation date, full member list, or discography — were found in available public sources; this profile will be expanded as more can be confirmed.

Press & quotes

"Stein Stokke & The Engine er en velsmurt "bluesmaskin" satt sammen av svært garvede musikere. Med kun eget materiale, skjeve groove, sjelfull råskap og gode historier, er det alltid duket for en herlig musikalsk opplevelse."
