The Bluesanovas
Also known as: Bluesanovas
Five-piece band from Münster (2015–), three-time German Blues Award winner — supported Eric Clapton's 2022 German tour.
Musical Influence
In a decade, The Bluesanovas have gone from the blues jams of Münster and Osnabrück to becoming one of the most awarded names in contemporary German blues, with three German Blues Award wins and a semi-final placing at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis (Source: thebluesanovas.de/en/pages/the-band). Eric Clapton personally choosing them as support for his 2022 German summer tour is arguably the strongest single endorsement a contemporary German blues band has received from one of blues-rock's own icons (Source: thebluesanovas.de/en/pages/the-band), and "Big Love"'s entry into the German album charts in 2023, followed by the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in 2024, shows the band reaching an audience well beyond the traditional blues scene (Source: thebluesanovas.de).
