Toby Lee was born on 27 January 2005 in Warwickshire, England, and began his musical journey at age four with a ukulele from his grandmother, before receiving his first electric guitar for Christmas at eight, while staying in a Cornwall hotel that also hosted Uriah Heep guitarist Mick Box as a guest (Source: toby-lee.com). He became a global sensation after playing guitar at B.B. King's Blues Club in 2015, aged ten, and has since amassed over 350 million YouTube views (Source: americanbluesscene.com).\n\nDubbed a future superstar by Joe Bonamassa, Lee appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End production of "School of Rock the Musical," winning an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music, and has performed alongside Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons, Peter Frampton, Slash, Lukas Nelson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Bonamassa himself (Source: toby-lee.com). He is sponsored by Gibson Guitars (Source: americanbluesscene.com).\n\nHis releases include the EP "10" (2017), "Aquarius" (2021) and the covers album "Icons Vol. 1" (2022), before his first album of original compositions, "House on Fire" (October 2024), which topped the UK Blues Chart (Source: toby-lee.com). At 21, he is a three-time winner of Young Blues Artist of the Year at the UK Blues Awards and the youngest-ever member of the UK Blues Hall of Fame (Source: en.wikipedia.org).

Musical Influence

Few blues artists anywhere have made the transition from viral child prodigy to a genuine UK Blues Hall of Fame member with original chart-topping material — Toby Lee's trajectory, endorsed personally by Joe Bonamassa and built on stage time alongside Buddy Guy and Billy Gibbons, represents the clearest current pipeline from YouTube phenomenon to establishment recognition in British blues.
