"Sweden's largest blues export" — over 30 years of raw, swinging Delta-rooted houserockin' rhythm & blues, from 1999's "Just Passing Through" to the 30th-anniversary "The Collection" (2024).

Formed in the early 1990s, Trickbag has spent over thirty years earning its reputation as one of Sweden's most active blues bands — and, by most accounts, Sweden's largest blues export. Rather than a studio-focused project, Trickbag has built its name on the road, playing what critics describe as raw, swinging blues rooted in Mississippi Delta tradition, spiked with R&B and rock and roll energy, and delivered, as one description put it, "with maximal energy already in the first song" (Kilde: band promotional materials; Discogs). The band's recorded catalog runs from "Just Passing Through" (1999, Concrete Records) through "Afternoon Mint" (2004), "Goin' Downtown" (2011), "Candyville" (2015) and the anniversary-marking "The Collection" (2024), released to celebrate three decades together. Along the way Trickbag has also released two "Trickbag With Friends" collaborative volumes (2013 and 2016) and a career retrospective, "25 Years Of Houserockin' Rhythm'N'Blues!" (2019) (Kilde: Discogs). The band's current lineup centers on vocalist Tommy Moberg, harmonica player Steve "West" Weston — regarded as one of Europe's finest blues harp players — and guitarist Tomi Leino, known for his heavy, aggressive playing style. Their reputation as a top touring act has carried them across the European blues festival circuit for three decades, appearances documented on Discogs through track credits on blues festival compilations from Toronto to Lucerne, Switzerland (Kilde: Discogs; band promotional materials). In 2024, Trickbag marked their 30th anniversary with a dedicated tour and "The Collection," a career-spanning release that captured a band still known, after three decades, for going all-out on stage from the very first note (Kilde: band promotional materials).

Musical Influence

Trickbag's three decades of relentless touring have made them one of the most visible ambassadors of Swedish blues on the European festival circuit, a live-first model that has outlasted most of their studio-focused peers. (Kilde: Discogs; band promotional materials)
